Redding 250 • Celebrating America Through Music

Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States with a special Greater Bridgeport Symphony concert in Redding, Connecticut on May 30. This community-wide event honors our nation’s history through music, featuring Charles Ives’ Three Places in New England, including Putnam’s Camp, inspired by the local landscape and revolutionary spirit.

The program will also include patriotic works performed with student musicians from Joel Barlow High School, readings from the Declaration of Independence, and beloved American classics—bringing together professional musicians, students, and the community in a meaningful celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
