The Greater Bridgeport Symphony's 55-piece orchestra and Maestro Eduardo Leandro bring the holidays and a Gershwin anniversary into one program. Pianist Jeffrey Biegel plays the Connecticut premiere of Peter Boyer’s Rhapsody in Red White and Blue, a piece tied to the 100th anniversary of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

The program also includes Vince Guaraldi's A Charlie Brown Christmas, Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride and selections from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. Kids under 19 are admitted free.

Tickets are $21–$72. Kids under 19 attend free, and accompanying adults save 15%. Season subscriptions are also available. Order online or call (203) 576-0263.

First time at the Symphony? Hold applause until the end of each piece (the conductor’s hands will drop to their sides), keep phones off and away, and save snacks for intermission.
