Voices take the stage when Maestro Eduardo Leandro and the Greater Bridgeport Symphony join The Wilton Singers, directed by Kevin Cotellese, for an evening built around the American song. Soprano Abigail Paschke and baritone Thomas Woodman are the featured soloists.

The program includes America the Beautiful, Jessie Montgomery's Starburst, Jay Ungar's Ashokan Farewell, Barber's Adagio for Strings, Rick Sowash's Serenade for Mary, Irving Berlin's Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor, Shenandoah (arr. Wilberg) and Henry Mollicone's Beatitude Mass in its chamber version.

The concert also honors veterans and supports a food drive for the Bridgeport Rescue Mission. Dr. Frank Martignetti gives a pre-concert talk.

Tickets are $21–$72. Kids under 19 attend free, and accompanying adults save 15%. Season subscriptions are also available. Order online or call (203) 576-0263.

First time at the Symphony? Hold applause until the end of each piece (the conductor’s hands will drop to their sides), keep phones off and away, and save snacks for intermission.
